is it worth to be an IITian?

Hello Folks,
         I would say yes it is...
It is one of the good things to happen in your life... even better than having girlfriends. I will tell you why in a short while.
         When you get a seat in one of the most Prestigious College of India, theirs no bound of the happiness it gives to you and to your family(in few cases friends and relatives too!!). Its a matter of pride for one's family and siblings. You start getting respect from everyone cause you cracked one of the toughest exams in the country. You proved your mettle to everyone who said you couldn't do it(believe it there are many such people).And this is just the first few days of result...
          When getting into an IIT, I mean literally kept a foot inside the campus, you will know what a gem you have got for those 2 years(even more) of humongous effort. You finally feel rewarded, all those greenery around amazes you especially if you are from a city like me. First few months/weeks are spent getting adjusted and roaming the campus and knowing where you get food apart from the mess(you won't love mess food). And then comes the academics, this is a no-brainer, the academics are boring... I won't talk about that it. Because its all same in all colleges.
          Apart from academics, there are many interesting things to do especially for first years. Seniors start giving tips about different clubs, which clubs to join and what to do and not to do.
          After this point there will not be much happiness of being an IITian, you will be with other IITian, you won't be the only topper in class(you might become average). But believe me, if you get through that and get into real-world you will be on top of every other. And you obviously know.
          You have a much higher chance of getting placed than any other colleges.
          After you graduate or just go home on vacation and meet people, you will understand they look up to you. They try to be like you, talk to you even girls start talking to you. And now you know why being is better than having a girlfriend. Your Girlfriend might leave or cheat you for someone else, but your IIT Degree will never leave, it will be for your whole life. You get respect for the lifetime(given you keep up with your good effort). You get a whole new window of opportunity to explore, you can become whatever you want.
